Bangkok Bus Rentals

This 14 metre tall sculpture in the Wat Pho region is adorned in gold leaf and is a truly striking sight to behold. Whilst inside the temple, you’ll experience the tale behind Buddha, who was said to have completed 108 positive acts on his journey to becoming a perfect being. To nod back to this, you’ll find 108 bowls inside the temple which you can buy coins for. You can also stop off for a relaxing Thai massage if you fancy it.

One of the most famous sites in Bangkok is the Grand Palace, once home to the King as well as being the location where the Thai government carried out their duties. It may be worth setting aside a whole morning or afternoon to explore the palace as there’s more than 214,00 square meters for you to navigate. Have your wits about you before you enter though, as the Grand Palace is home to a fair few scams - make sure you only pay the entry fee when you are instructed to by the staff inside.

Shopaholics will be right at home in Bangkok. For a traditional Thai shopping experience, head over to the Chatuchak Market. 8000 stalls spanning over 27 acres await you, giving it the title of one of the largest markets on the planet. Over 200,000 visitors flock to the market on Saturdays and Sundays, all chasing after a bargain or two. The prices are local rather than being inflated for tourism purposes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try to haggle the price down if you think you’ve got the gift of the gab. It’s definitely worthwhile grabbing a map before trying to navigate the maze of market stalls yourself, as it’s a hive of activity and you’re sure to get swept up in the crowds along the way. If you prefer a more traditional shopping experience, head on over the the high end shopping mall Siam Paragon. This massive mega store is home to a wide range of designer shops. You’ll be able to truly shop til you drop with over 250 stores as well a some high end car manufacturers including Lamborghini and Ferrari. But the mall is home to much more than stores so why not make a day of it? The megastore also houses a massive multiplex cinema as well as plenty of restaurants so you can stop off and refuel after a busy day of retail therapy.

Bangkok is sometimes referred to as the Venice of the East based on the fact that the Chai Phraya River flows through it. Over 50,000 people work on the rivers to this day. If you’re a fan of the open waters why not take a river boat trip? It’s a great and energising way to explore a little more of the city. You’re free to stop off on any of the ports if and when you fancy so you can ensure you’re exploring as much of the city as possible.

For a day out that the whole family will enjoy, a trip to Dusit Zoo is a must. You’ll get to meet over 1600 animals that call this place their home including deer, antelope, alligators, tigers, lions and more. The zoo even has its very own animal hospital so you can be sure the animals are treated with care.

For a cultural fix, a trip to Bangkok National Museum is a must. The museum houses the largest collection of art and ancient artifacts in the whole of Thailand. The museum has royal connections, King Rama V opened the place to showcase all of the gifts that were given to him by his father. The museum showcases some truly fascinating items including precious stones, Chinese weapons, puppets, beautiful clothing and exquisite textiles as well as Khon masks. If you’d like a tour of the museum in English, make sure you head over there on a Thursday and a knowledgeable guide will give you a better understanding of all the items and artifacts on display there.

Khao San Road is a real melting pot, you’ll find drunken revellers still awake from the night before alongside a family of four sat eating their first meal of the day. Phuket Bus Rentals

To get up close and personal with some of the planets fiercest animals then you’ll enjoy a trip to Phuket’s Tiger Kingdom. It’s home to Indochinese tigers which are in captivity, the tigers are fed at around 7pm but you can also visit when it first opens if you want to beat the crowds. Tiger Kingdom has two restaurants in case you work up an appetite, with a view of the tigers. If you love animals there’s also Phuket elephant sanctuary where you can hitch a ride as well as help bathe the animals, learn about them and support the ethical. Soi dog foundation and see the monkeys at Monkey Hill.

If it’s retail therapy you’re after, head down to the Naka Market. This night market offers plenty of things to buy ranging from clothes, fruit, animals and trinkets. The best time to get to the market is around the afternoon before the crowds hit. There’s also cheap local foods like tasty corn on the cob with butter.

A trip to Kata noi beach is great for a peaceful getaway. The small stretch of beach offers some breathtaking scenery so it’s definitely worth a trip to walk along the golden sands or take a swim in the crystal clear waters. If you do want to swim, the best times to visit is between November and April as during monsoon season the waters may be dangerous. For more spectacular views, head towards the Kata viewpoint where you’ll be able to see right across the bays of Karon, Kata, and Kata Noi.

One of the most famous sites in the whole of Phuket is the giant Buddha resting atop the Nakkerd Hills. Towering 45 metres tall and made from white Burmese marble it’s certainly not something that’s easily missed. Journey to the top of the hill where you’ll be met by spectacular panoramic views across the island. It’s quite a calm and tranquil vibe, but you’ll be met by sounds of bells and dharma music.

The city of Phuket comes alive at night, the whole of Bangla Road wakes up and the road is closed to traffic. If you’re looking for a night out in Phuket, this is probably the only place you’ll need to visit. You’ll be met by the lights, sights and sounds of busy bars, street entertainers and persuasive touts inviting you to a show. You’ll even get promo girls and restaurant owners competing for your business but it’s just a part of the charm. The vibe is pretty lively and it’s definitely worth a trip.

Koh Samui
Thailand is home to many island paradises and Koh Samui is certainly one of the best. It’s hugely popular with backpackers and locals alike and there are plenty of things to see and do whether you’re here for a weekend or a week.

One of the most famous attractions in Koh Samui is the Big Buddha temple. This 12 metre gold statue sits proudly on an island off the north-eastern corner of Koh Samui. The locals call it Wat Phra Yai, and it was built back in 1972. The Buddha sits in what’s known as the Mara position; the palm of the left hand rests on the lap and the right hand is facing down with the fingers draped over the knee. The statue has been crafted to resemble the time when Buddha resisted temptation on his journey to enlightenment by keeping calm and meditating. As such, the pose is one that depicts purity, enlightenment and steadfastness.

To appreciate more of Koh Samui’s natural beauty, a trip to view the stunning rock formations known as Hin Ta and Hin Yai is a must. Situated on the south coast of Koh Samui these formations have been a popular spot for tourists since their discovery by locals years ago. The rocks get their name based on their appearance; Grandpa (Ta) and Grandma (Yai) resemble male and female genitalia. These quirky rock formations are sure to garner a smile and make sure you’ve got your camera handy as you’ll also be met with breathtaking views which span across the sea towards the nearby islands. There’s also a small beach nearby where you can sit back and relax after a day exploring the island. The crystal clear waters showcase the spectacular marine life below and there’s plenty of verdant landscape where you’ll see buffalo fields and plantations. To get up close with the island’s marine life, a trip to the scuba diving capital of Thailand, Koh Tao is a must. This compact island of just 55 km has been transformed into a tourist hub with plenty of bungalows, guesthouses and even five star luxury resorts. If you fancy clocking up the miles during your visit to Chiang Mai, why not take part in a cycling tour of the city? Let a local tour guide lead you through lush forests, winding paths and a visit to the historic monuments of the Old City as you explore this beautiful city on two wheels. If you don’t fancy exploring the city on two wheels you can take a tour of the Old Town and Temples with a walking tour.
